Minimally deformed wormholes

Abstract This work is devoted to the study of wormhole solutions in framework gravitational decoupling by means minimal geometric deformation scheme. As an example, analyze how this methodology works scenario, we have minimally deformed well-known Morris–Thorne model. The decoupler function f ( r ) and $$\theta $$ θ -sector are determined considering following approaches: (i) most general linear equation state relating _{\mu \nu }$$ μ ν components imposed (ii) generalized pseudo-isothermal dark matter density profile mimicked temporal component -sector. It found that first approach leads a non-asymptotically flat space-time with unbounded mass function. To address issue matched both Schwarzschild vacuum solutions, via thin-shell at junction surface. Using second approach, it can be seen that, on one hand, solution for $$\gamma =1$$ γ = 1 does not give place bounded presents topological defect large distances; other manifold asymptotically =2$$ 2 case. In order satisfy flare-out condition, restrictions value $$\alpha α parameter, which related amount exotic distribution. Finally, averaged weak energy condition has been analyzed using volume integral quantifier.
